A sealed radioactive source is radioactive material that is permanently sealed in a capsule or bonded and in a solid form.

The capsule of a sealed radioactive source is designed to prevent the radioactive material from escaping or being released during normal usage.

The beam of radiation is used for purposes such as measurement of multiphase flow to provide the client with an understanding of the density of the mixture.

    Leading Compliance, Radiation Innovation

In 2019, Warren Sneedon, the owner and President, founded WSSM LLC. Armed with an extensive background in multiphase metering dating back to 1998 and a wealth of experience in upper management roles with industry-leading brands, Sneedon's journey culminated in the establishment of this enterprise. His Radiation Safety Officer license, acquired in 2007, further fortified his expertise.

The initial focus of WSSM LLC revolved around perpetual well monitoring, encompassing the realms of water, oil, and gas production allocation. As technological advancements unfurled, new horizons emerged, particularly in the context of Flow Back/Drill out sites. The wealth of information streaming from these meters emerged as a pivotal tool for informed decision-making. This trove of real-time data not only held immense value but also contributed to cultivating a safer work environment, effectively curbing flaring.

The evolutionary trajectory of the multiphase meter traverses from its pivotal role in flowback operations to assuming the mantle of production monitoring and optimization. This transition not only augments revenues for companies but also paints a greener, more ecologically conscious landscape. However, a few challenges linger, chiefly linked to the varying regulations set forth by different state radiation authorities, coupled with the constraints surrounding the sources employed by distinct manufacturers.

Enter WSSM LLC, with a business model meticulously crafted to address these intricacies. By leveraging its licensing prowess, WSSM enables companies to harness the potential of multiphase meters and sources across disparate states, provided they align with the requisite stipulations. Acting as the custodian of the Emergency program and assuming the role of Radiation Safety Officer, WSSM shoulders the responsibilities, leaving clients to focus on their core competencies—whether that involves delivering flowback services or procuring multiphase meters for enduring production monitoring. All nuances of reporting, legal obligations, and any supplementary licensing requisites find their adept handling under the purview of WSSM.

Worth highlighting is the fact that all necessary Emergency procedures and licensing protocols are firmly in place, negating any waiting periods for the deployment of multiphase meters and sources across state borders. WSSM adeptly streamlines the process, fostering an environment that's both seamless and secure, ultimately allowing you to reap the manifold benefits of employing these meters.

    NEWS UPDATE

WSSM LLC is now certified by the State of Texas, the State of New Mexico and now with the State of North Dakota with Specific Licenses. WSSM is available to service a;; these states being the first company to obtain such a license in New Mexico and Noth Dakota.

We can offer permanent and lease options for the use of multiphase meters to clients that do not have a Radiation Safety Officer, program, or specific license. WSSM is the solution the industry has been waiting on as all liability and responsibility is now with WSSM LLC.

Companies can now purchase multiphase meters and WSSM takes care of everything else as per rules and regulations for radioactive materials in NM and ND.
